Tanisha Clarke, MPH

Tanisha Clarke, MPH, is the Senior Manager of Disability and Public Health at the Association of University Centers on Disabilities (AUCD). She manages public health projects and capacity development activities for the National Center on Disability in Public Health. Tanisha leads national initiatives and provides technical assistance for participating sites including the University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDDs), the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) programs, and public health partners. Her activities primarily focus on capacity building, systems change, and health promotion for people with disabilities. Additionally, Tanisha is actively involved in mentoring the next generation of leaders.

Tanisha brings almost 20 years of experience working with people with disabilities and their family members, emerging professionals, and community or professional partners. Previously, Tanisha served as the Senior Program Manager on AUCD's UCEDD Technical Assistance Team, where she oversaw technical assistance activities and directed project efforts related to diversity, inclusion, and cultural and linguistic competence. She was in the first cohort of participants in the Georgetown University National Center for Cultural Competence's Leadership Institute for Cultural Diversity and Cultural and Linguistic Competence. Before working at AUCD, Tanisha was the Program Planner Analyst for the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities (FCIC), a UCEDD at the University of South Florida.

Tanisha earned a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Maternal and Child Health from the University of South Florida, where she was an AUCD Trainee (FCIC/UCEDD). She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with minors in both public health and general business administration.
